Reflection:
The difference between our first video from now is that, the kind of conversations we had this time were stronger than the typical introduction to know each other. The way we prepared for for this conversation was by learning new phrases that weren't very basic as our first. I am thankful to have worked with a student who was willing to learn phrases rather than just follow a script. A struggle that I have from when working with others is that I have to follow a script rather than just have a normal and natural conversation. Since we began Spanish I have begun to use words that are more proficient and apporpriate to hold a conversation. I feel that in order for me to have better vocalization, I need to learn stronger vocabulary. I am excited to move forward this year and expand my knowledge in order to become a better speaker. When working with Trevor, I feel that he understood the words but when speaking in sentences and adding all the words together was when he kind of didn't feel too comfortable. I believe that the areas I need to work on when speaking are my expressions, and becoming more comfortable to proceed a conversation. That is another goal of mine, since the people I speak Spanish with, I'll usually talk to them about other things that I may not understand too many words on but I'll still try and hold a conversation. I am excited to be taking honors, because I know that I will be challenged. In the next two weeks I would like to collaborate with someone who is also a native Spanish speaker, the reason I would like to work with someone who also feels comfortable with the language is because its less pressure having any conversation than having to follow any script. The kind of topics I would like to have would be about current day news or discussions based off of articles or movies. A way I can push myself to learn more vocabulary would be by listening to podcasts or watching movies because I feel that listening is more helpful than reading it.
