When I first started this semester I had a very low vocabulary and didn't feel very confident in trying to keep a conversation going. Something that really helped me improve my vocabulary was reading the book Cuidades de Papel because I would get stuck very often on words I didn't understand and I would always highlight them and look them up. After a while I would notice words were repeated after I learned them and then later on I would even start using them. I think that I am encouraging myself to learn the language becuase I know that being able to be speak another language is an advantage. My goals in the conversations is that I can maintain focus on whats going on and also being able to explain myself clearly. Having a conversation in spanish with someone i've never met seems easy for me because i'm more than capable of holding a basic conversation. Recently I haven't watched any spanish movies but when I was younger I would watch black and white film. I always speak spanish outside of class because my grandmother only speaks spanish so it's something I use in a regular basis.
